Echinacea Purpurea – aka coneflower, is an outstanding cut flower and has medicinal uses; also repels deer.  Blooms July-September.  Available in two amazing color variations:  Sombrero Tres Amigos – featuring three showy colors all in one plant. The flowers open to a peachy coral, age to a rosy pink and fade to burgundy; SunSeekers Apple Green – flower petals feature shades that mature from dark green to lemon yellow.

Magma Heuchera – aka coral bellsis a colorful perennial with bright red-pink ruffled foliage. Delicate stems of tiny pinkish-white blooms rise from this brilliant mound.  Full sun/part shade; height: 18-24″; width: 24-30″

Platinum Blonde Lavender – this variety of English lavender offers the classic lavender scent we love, but with a refreshing twist of cream and green variegated leaves.  Wonderful in containers or in the ground.  Blooms all summer, attracting butterflies. Full sun; plant height: 12-24″; width: 18-20″

Rudbeckia Autumn Colors – large blooms with bands of deep red, bronze, orange and yellow and brown centers. Prefers moderately fertile, moist well drained soil; drought tolerant when established. Deadhead to promote new blooms; will self-seed. Deer and rabbit resistant.  Height and width: 18-24″

Montauk Daisy  –  large, showy white flowers with bright yellow centers, blooms from late summer to fall; low maintenance and drought-tolerant once established; deer/rabbit resistant.  Height and width:  18-36“

Asclepias Tuberosa – aka butterfly flower, has brilliant clusters of bright orange to yellow-orange flowers which bloom continuously throughout summer, followed by attractive seed pods in fall.  Easy care, drought tolerant and deer resistant.  Height and width: 18-24”

Common Milkweed – produces a profusion of extremely fragrant lavender to pink flowers in mid-summer and thrives in almost any well-drained soil.  Is a host plant for Monarch butterflies!  (Monarchs lay their eggs only on milkweeds and they feed on butterfly flowers)
